How Does Co-Selling Work?
If you are a licensed disability insurance broker and you join the Disability Insurance Services network, you can take advantage of our free co-selling services. Co-selling is just like it sounds – you are paired with an experienced agent to assist with any aspect of selling disability insurance.
If you’re just starting out, you may want us to lead the sales process while you observe so you can learn from the process. As you gain experience, you may prefer to lead the sale, with us joining the appointment as a back-up to field any complex questions or objections.
Either way, we’re here to support you. What makes the DIS co-selling program uniquely awesome is the fact that it’s free. Most other wholesalers or MGAs will require you to split your commission to cover their role in co-selling. We do not.

The DIS co-selling system is simple.
- You identify the client. You can use your leads to find new clients who are interested in disability insurance, whether it’s a white-collar office worker, a blue-collar worker, a business owner, a medical resident, or any professional occupation.
- Meet with your DIS mentor. Our in-house team of experts can work with you to figure out a winning game plan and obtain quotes.
- Present to the client. If you need guidance, we’ve got your back. We can co-present our disability insurance solutions with you.
- Close the sale. We’ll help you figure out a plan to get the application through to underwriting.
- Collect the commission. We don’t charge extra for our co-selling service.
