sell-disability-insuranceIt’s no secret that disability insurance is the most overlooked product in the insurance industry.  Whether it’s because consumers don’t think they need it, or because agents think it’s too hard of a sale, it doesn’t matter. Both parties, in this case, would be wrong.

Consumers need to be informed (preferably by you!) that 90 percent of disabilities are caused by illnesses, not accidents, and that 1 in 4 of today’s 20-year-olds will become disabled before they retire.

And producers need to know that there are about 100 million workers in the US without private disability insurance!  That’s a lot of consumers who need disability insurance!

If you’ve never branched into the world of disability insurance, NOW is the time. As of today, it’s Disability Insurance Awareness Month (DIAM), making the month of May the perfect time to try your hand at selling DI.
