More about TeleApplications

Recently we announced the new and improved TeleApp program. Many of you responded with positive feedback and are already finding opportunities to use TeleApps with your customers.

TeleApp and Conditional Receipt
We would like to give you additional information about the administrative handling of cases when using both TeleApp and the DI Conditional Receipt (DICR). In those instances, The Standard will issue policies with an Endorsement, Form 5084, which contains language clarifying the date of the application.

Because the TeleApp interview is conducted after the DICR is signed, The Standard uses the Endorsement as way to clarify for the policy owner the exact date of the application (the date the DICR is signed).So, if a policy is issued with Endorsement, Form 5084, please ensure that it is completed and returned together with any other policy delivery requirements. This will help speed along the final steps of placing the policy in force.

The Standard has issued a second reprint of

The Storyfinders, Conversation with underwriters, form 14508.
